The government is more rigidly enforcing the legislation associated with Occupational Health, Safety and Environment. Companies are being forced to take full responsibility for making sure that their legal obligations are meet in full or risk a heavy fine.
For failure to comply with work safety regulations Work Cover inspectors can place on the spot fines from $10,000 for individuals and fines exceeding $500,000 for large companies.
These fines are applicable to both the contractor and the company engaging the contractor that is why Avid Electrical has a strict OHS&E policy and management plan in place and completes all relevant OHS&E documentation before starting work on each job.
